Community Networking

Community networks are being created around the world to allow groups of people to communicate freely with each other, and achieve things that that they wouldn't be able to achieve on their own.

In Adelaide, Air-Stream is building a community based wireless network. In Mawson Lakes, MawsonLakes.Org has been running a community based news service/blog since 1999. Bettong.Org provides community based Free and Open Source Software Training. LinuxSA and SVLug provide opportunities for people to educate themselves, have fun, and help others with Linux.

With the connections and contacts make through Software Freedom Day, these collaborative efforts will continue to be supported and grown.
